Celtic Bones
The band formed in London, 1997, meeting up together at their old haunt The Intrepid Fox for a few drinks. They decided that their musical infuences Punk, Rockabilly and Ska would make a good combination of styles played as a three piece with a double bass. After three months or so together they decided to recorded their first four track demo Burn 'n up the road (Fury comp). The band's line up are: DOYLEY Ex Klingonz (Dublin) - guitar/vox, STRANGY Ex Numbskulls (Aberdeen) - double bass/vox and SKUM Ex Vice (Aus) - drums. Their first major gigs was a small tour in Dublin, playing Slattery's Charlies and Barnstormers Squeezing two hectic gigs all in one night.
Then back in London they started to play the Rock garden and Roadhouse circut. In 98 they recorded Live demolition an eight track live CD that recieved a 5/5 rating in terrorizer (Hardcore Rock Metal mag London). 1998 and 99 were gigs in Belgium and Holland, also in 98 were gigs on the Camden circut Hope and Ancor, Underworld, Dublin Castle, Camden Palace and Bull & Gate and supporting Janus Stark at the Borderline and Dee Dee Ramone at the Garage. The next 4 tracks that followed was Time's up. It was their first real CD single selling quite a lot at their live gigs.
They have currently recorded a new 11 track CD entitled "Who Dares Gin", a mix of high energy Punk'n'Roll, Rockabilly, Ska and Rock which is available mail order. The Celtic Bones next move is to find a decent record label to sign them up with 18 original trax ready to put down. Read more on Last.fm.
